Aspyr Media has revealed a remastered version of Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, launching on August 1 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. This enhanced version of the classic third-person, action-adventure game puts players in the shoes of Jango Fett, Prime Clone of the Grand Army of the Republic. The game takes place prior to the events of Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.

Along with visual improvements, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter also features improved environment textures, new lighting effects, and a new flashlight to help navigate darker areas in the game. There are also some unique PlayStation 5 features that take advantage of the DualSense controller, including integrated adaptive triggers, voice communications that play through the controller’s speaker, and using the lightbar display as a visual indicator of Jango’s health.

Aspyr also revealed that it has added a nice bonus to the game. The original Star Wars: Bounty Hunter had an easter egg—a low-resolution texture with a message written in Aurebesh that said “Cash in all bounties to play as Boba.” However, that feature didn’t exist in the game, even if you achieved 100% on your save file. In the remastered version, once you complete the campaign, you will be able to equip a new Boba Fett skin for your next playthrough. Since it is not an entirely different character, we assume the gameplay experience remains identical while wearing the skin.
