Developers and publishers worldwide are getting ready for a summer full of announcements, with many hosting their own events since E3 has been officially canceled. Microsoft has already announced that it will be hosting the Xbox Games Showcase and Starfield Direct on June 11, and now PlayStation gamers get to look forward to a PlayStation Showcase next week on May 24. The event broadcasts live starting at 1:00pm PDT or 4:00pm EDT.

Sony confirmed the show will run a bit over an hour and it will focus on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2 games currently in development by top studios from around the world. There will be previews of several new games by PlayStation Studios, along with titles by third-party partners and indie creators.

There are plenty of rumors of what might be revealed at PlayStation Showcase, including Mortal Kombat 12 (or 1), Spider-Man 2, Metal Gear Remake, and Naughty Dog’s Factions. Hopefully, we will hear more about the Wolverine game that is currently in development, along with the possible sequel to Ghost of Tsushima. Given that the Showcase is over an hour long, we can likely expect some surprises.
