We’ve gotten teasers and a release date, but HBO has finally shared a lengthy official trailer for The Last of Us Season 2. For fans of the games, there’s a lot to unpack here, and you’ll probably want to watch the trailer a few times. We get a good look at both Dina and Ellie, played by Isabela Merced and Bella Ramsey, respectively, along with Tommy’s son. Those who played The Last of Us Part II will recognize the museum scene, which seems to be very accurate to the game. It’s also our first real look at the Seraphites and Abby, played by Kaitlyn Dever, along with her group of friends.

If you haven’t played The Last of Us Part II, the PC version is finally launching on April 3, 2025. You can also grab a limited edition The Last of Us PlayStation DualSense controller, which launches on April 10, but preorders begin on March 14.

The Last of Us Season 2 is back on April 13 on Max.
