Announced last month, The Last of Us Part II Remastered will introduce a roguelike survival mode called No Return. Naughty Dog has shared a trailer providing a preview for the new mode. In No Return, players must survive as long as possible through a series of randomized encounters. Each run features different foes and boss battles. In true roguelike spirit, the mode includes unique gameplay modifiers, ensuring each run feels fresh and unique.

No Return also marks the first time several characters in The Last of Us Part II are playable including Dina, Jesse, Lev, Tommy, and others, alongside Ellie and Abby. Each character possesses unique traits, catering to a variety of playstyles. In addition, the trailer gives us a quick glimpse at unlockable skins.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered is set to launch on PlayStation 5 on January 19, 2024.
