The Last of Us Part II Remastered is launching on PC on April 3, and developer Naughty Dog has shared more details on the upcoming port that was developed in partnership with Nixxes Software and Iron Galaxy. The PC version will include all the improvements and additions from the PlayStation 5 version, including the No Return roguelike survival mode, Guitar Free Play, and developer commentary. The game will support NVIDIA DLSS 3 Super Resolution and Frame Generation, AMD FSR 3.1 and AMD FSR 4 with upscaling and frame generation, VSync and framerate cap options (including uncapped), DirectStorage support, and more. Other features designed specifically for PC include adjustable texture quality, LOD distance range, volumetric quality, shadow quality, ambient occlusion, reflections quality, and more.

Naughty Dog confirmed that The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC will support Ultrawide monitors including 21:9, 32:9, and 48:9 with compatibility for triple-monitor setups. Naturally, keyboard and mouse control support comes with plenty of customization options, full control remapping, primary and secondary bindings for keyboard and mouse control, an adaptive mode to combine keyboard and controller inputs, and more. Of course, the game will fully support gamepads, and DualSense controllers will feature full haptic feedback.

The launch of the PC version will also bring new content for the No Return roguelike mode, including two characters from The Last of Us Part I: Bill and Marlene. Bill has a “Smuggler” playstyle with a custom pump shotgun and gets double rewards from drops. Marlene is a “Risk Taker” archetype with a Custom Assault Rifle and “All or Nothing” gambits that can reroute her No Return path once per run. The mode is also getting four new maps: Overlook, School, Streets, and Nest. Don’t worry, all this new content is also heading to the PlayStation 5 version as a free downloadable patch on the same April 3 release date.

Naughty Dog also mentioned that The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PC will not require a PlayStation Network login, which Sony confirmed earlier this year. But those who do sign into their PlayStation Network account will get 50 in-game points to activate bonus features, including a new skin for Ellie featuring Jordan A. Mun’s jacket from Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, Naughty Dog’s currently in development game. PlayStation 5 players will also be able to unlock the jacket skin with in-game bonus points.
