Naughty Dog has revealed its plans for The Last of Us DLC, revealing the first of three Season Pass DLC releases today. The first The Last of Us DLC will be the Abandoned Territories Map Pack which includes the Suburbs, Bus Depot, Hometown and Bookstore maps. The Abandoned Territories Map Pack will be released on October 15, 2013.

As for the DLC that everyone is most interested in, the single-player DLC, Naughty Dog has announced that it is in the works and is currently planned for a release in December or January 2014. According to Eric Monacelli, Community Strategist at Naughty Dog, the single-player DLC “is an ambitious story with strong ties into the narrative of The Last of Us.” The developer just wrapped up a long casting process for a new character and will be its starting performance capture shoot next week.

The third Season Pass DLC will be multiplayer focused and will arrive in the first half of next year. Bonus items have been added to the Season Pass, with over 60 different head items for multiplayer characters available for free for all Season Pass holders. Those vanity items will also be available a la carte for non-pass holders.

The Last of Us Season Pass DLC is available for $19.99 and saves you over 75 percent versus buying all the DLC individually.
