This week’s Hearthstone tavern brawl will preview the upcoming expansion, The Grand Tournament (TGT). Starting Wednesday, Hearthstone players will get to engage in a thrilling brawl between two potent forces: Medivh the Mage and Alleria the Hunter. According to a post on Battle.net, Medivh’s deck will be packed with minions that take advantage of the new Inspire interaction while Alleria’s deck will focus on Jousting.

The tavern brawl will run until August 24, which means the expansion will likely go live a day later on August 25. In addition, Community Manager Zeriyah has confirmed that this week’s tavern brawl will not award a TGT pack.

In total, The Grand Tournament will add 132 more cards to Hearthstone including Joust cards, Inspire cards (Rogue is the only class without an Inspire minion), and cards that interact directly with Hero Power. The expansion will also feature more dragons, beasts, pirates and totems, inspiring new deck ideas for every class, while the Warrior gets several new class cards that interact well with Taunt minions.
