Creator of The Game Awards, Geoff Keighley, has confirmed this year’s show delivered over 154 million global livestreams, making it the most watched show ever. The annual event continues to grow and set new records, starting from 1.9 million livestreams in year one to hitting 11.5 million in year four. The show experienced a significant jump in 2020 to 83 million as a global pandemic introduced millions of people to the wonderful world of gaming. Last year, the show had 118 million viewers, resulting in a noticeable leap in viewership this year.

Along with announcing 154 million live streams, Keighley confirmed the show received an “A” grade in its fan poll. Other highlights include four million peak concurrent users on Twitch and YouTube, which is over a 10 percent increase compared to 2023. On X, hashtag usage also increased by 10 percent, with 6.79 billion impressions and 1.59 million posts. Viewer voting for this year’s awards hit over 112 million, including Players’ Voice.

The Game Awards 2024 featured several major announcements this year, including The Witcher 4 and Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet from Naughty Dog. You can see the full list of winners here.
