The popular 2D exploration game, Terraria, will be heading to iOS tomorrow for $4.99. Terraria on iOS won’t just be a simple port over to the mobile operating system, as Re-Logic had Codeglue develop redesigned controls and game balance for the multi-touch environment. Every aspect of the game has been tweaked and balanced to give players the perfect Terraria experience on the go.

The iOS version is also optimized for Retina displays and will be available on the Apple App Store starting on August 29, 2013.

The action/adventure RPG indie game was originally released on May 16, 2011 for PC before it headed to the PlayStation Network on March 26, 2013. A day later, it made an appearance on Xbox Live. Terraria is also in the works for a PlayStation Vita version.
