One of the more interesting features of the Nintendo Switch 2 is the ability to use the new Joy-Con 2 controllers as a mouse. To showcase that feature, Nintendo is launching Drag x Drive on August 14, an online 3v3 experience that uses both Joy-Con 2 controllers at the same time with mouse controls to steer, speed up, perform tricks, and make plays. It’s essentially a basketball game where the players are in wheelchairs. While the novelty will likely wear off quickly, Drag x Drive is just a $19.99 title, so it might be entertaining enough for its price.
Although Drag x Drive is clearly a small title for Nintendo and the Switch 2, it’s interesting that Nintendo announced the release date in its Nintendo Today! app. At the time of writing, the company still hasn’t published a press release on the game’s release date, nor released the trailer on its YouTube. There have been several major reveals from the app already, including Splatoon Raiders and it appears it’ll be the primary source for Nintendo news moving forward.
