Summer Game Fest 2023 was packed full of announcements and gameplay trailers

Today, Geoff Keighley took the stage for Summer Game Fest 2023 and it was filled with many exciting announcements and game debuts. The show kicks off a week of festivities, during which we can expect many more premieres and surprises. If you missed today’s Summer Game Fest and don’t feel like sitting through the entire presentation, we’ve got you covered.

Below, you will find a short recap of all the major announcements from today’s events, including trailers for each of them. We also covered the Spider-Man 2 release date announcement here.

Prince of Persia The Lost Crown – Reveal Gameplay Trailer

The announcement of Prince of Persia The Lost Crown came as a bit of a surprise. It is currently set to release on January 18, 2024, on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC.

Mortal Kombat 1 Official Gameplay Trailer

It was known well in advance that Mortal Kombat 1 would debut its gameplay at Summer Game Fest. You can read more about it here.

Path of Exile 2: Ngamakanui Teaser

While everyone is talking about Diablo IV right now, Path of Exile 2 wants to remind everyone that it still exists and is coming soon.

Exoprimal x Street Fighter 6 Collaboration Teaser Trailer

Who expected robot-mecha Ryu and Guile taking on dinosaurs? In true Capcom fashion, the developer announced an upcoming collaboration between Exoprimal, its upcoming dinosaur objective shooter, and Street Fighter 6.

Sonic Superstars – Announce Trailer

This might be one of the more exciting Sonic games in years. Sonic Superstars goes back to the traditional 2D format, but with stylish and modern graphics and four-player co-op. Players will get to choose between Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Amy Rose.

Lies of P – Official Release Date Trailer

This unique take on Pinocchio now has a new release date of September 19, and players can now check out a demo of the game.

SAND LAND – Game Announcement Trailer

An interesting announcement, Sand Land comes from Bandai Namco and Akira Toriyama. You’ll have to check out the trailer and draw your own impressions.

Palworld Release Date Announcement Trailer

Palworld isn’t a new announcement, but we now know it will be entering early access next year. It’s Pokemon with guns, or something. It’s from the same people who made Craftopia.

Throne and Liberty World Premiere Trailer

NCSoft has another MMORPG on the horizon. If you’ve played previous NCSoft games, you might recognize what’s happening in Throne and Liberty. Amazon Games is set to publish this internationally.

The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria Gameplay Trailer

Want some Deep Rock Galactic with a Lord of the Rings skin? That should be Return to Moria, set to release sometime this fall.

Alan Wake 2 World Premiere Gameplay Footage

An action RPG with a twist, Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior allows players to rewind time, creating copies of themselves. This game appears to be influenced by Hades and is one to keep an eye on when it releases on PC later this year.
