The universes of Shift Up’s two games, Stellar Blade and Goddess of Victory: Nikke, are going to collide. The developer has announced that the Stellar Blade x Goddess of Victory: Nikke DLC will launch on June 11, the same day the game heads to PC. Unsurprisingly, this crossover DLC will be more in-depth than the NieR: Automata DLC, featuring a new mini-game styled like Goddess of Victory: Nikke and a new boss fight with Scarlet. Conquering Scarlet unlocks a new costume, a new hairstyle, and a new song for Eve. There’s also a new shop owned by Nikke’s faithful robotic dog Volt that sells a variety of themed outfits, items, and cosmetics.
Stellar Blade originally launched on PlayStation 5 on April 26, 2024, and in my review I found it an impressive first AAA title from Shift Up, which previously shipped the mobile game Goddess of Victory: Nikke. The combat is excellent, although the story and writing do leave something to be desired. I’m looking forward to seeing how well it performs on PC in a few weeks.
