Originally launched on April 26, 2024, on PlayStation 5, Shift Up’s Stellar Blade will launch on PC on June 11. The PC version will include several new features and additional content, which will also arrive on the PlayStation 5 version. As for the PC-specific features, those include support for NVIDIA DLSS 4 and AMD FSR 3, as well as unlocked frame rates. Those on ultrawide and super ultrawide monitors can enjoy the game in all its glory, with Stellar Blade supporting aspect ratios from 5:4 to 32:9. For those gaming on 4K monitors, there will be a 4K texture option in the settings. Naturally, the PC version supports the DualSense Controller with haptic feedback and adaptive trigger features. The game also has full user key customization for gamepads, keyboards, and mice.

The additional content starts with a new Boss Challenge: Mann, the leader of the Sentinels. As a seasoned warrior, a master of weapons, the bodyguard of Orcal, and the Guardian of Xion, Eve must prove she’s worthy by taking on Mann. Conquer the challenge, and it will unlock the Royal Guard Suit. Speaking of additional outfits, the update will introduce 25 new Nano Suits as rewards, and the Crimson Wing outfit will be given to all users to celebrate the PC release. The update also includes support for Simplified Chinese and Japanese voiceovers, with matching facial animations for both languages.

In my review of Stellar Blade, I said the game was partly brilliant and partly frustrating, but called it a remarkable success for Shift Up’s first attempt at an AAA game.
