Stealth Inc 2 will be exclusive to the Nintendo Wii U, according to a recent report from CVG. The sequel to the 2D infiltration game will be released sometime this year for Nintendo’s console and will be self-published, though terms of the deal with Nintendo were not revealed. Stealth Inc 2′s developer, Curve Studios, may be surprising some with the move, considering few indie developers have been exclusive to the Wii U. Previously, the company made it public on why it chose to back Sony’s consoles over Microsoft’s and is now looking towards the Wii U to capture additional market share.
According to Jason Perkins, managing director at Curve, the company doesn’t see “much competition on Nintendo’s store,” so it believes it’s commercially a good opportunity for Curve Studios. Interestingly enough, the company wants to see what the market is like and wants to test it with the Wii U, perhaps hinting at more exclusives to come – or not.
The original Stealth Inc and its previous iteration Stealth Bastard, have been downloaded one-million times through its releases across eight platforms and over three years.
