Disney Interactive has announced Star Wars: Attack Squadrons as a free-to-play online space combat game where players can customize iconic Star Wars ships while engaging in 16-player dogfights in the Star Wars universe.
The announcement trailer, which you can watch below, will conjure up plenty of nostalgia for fans of the classic X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter game. According to the Star Wars: Attack Squadrons website, there will be 3 PvP game modes available: Free For All, Team Dogfight and Base Defense. Free For All sounds exactly what it is where players will fight for glory in 16-player death matches while Team Dogfight will have players joining teams to fight against one another. Base Defense will have players defending and attacking bases in order to win.
