Earlier, at the Sony Gamescom 2013 press conference, the company confirmed the price drop on its portable Vita console while mentioning that the Vita’s memory cards would also see a price drop. Those prices have now been published, with the memory cards dropping from $5.00 to $20.00 depending on size. The high cost of the proprietary memory cards have undoubtedly assisted in the portable system’s poor sales, but now that Sony has shown off its PS4 to Vita play in action, sales of the system should pick up significantly. Here’s all the new prices for the memory cards:
