Endnight Games has announced that its survival horror game, Sons of the Forest, is set to exit Early Access on February 22, 2024. The sequel to The Forest entered Early Access on February 23, 2023 and we spent a few weeks enjoying the game during that period and can’t wait to see v1.0 next year. Additionally, Endnight Games has revealed some exciting news: Shawn Ashmore will voice Timmy, expanding his role in both the game and its narrative.
Following its launch into Early Access, Sons of the Forest has been continually enhanced with numerous patches and updates. Picking up from The Forest’s true ending, the story follows Timmy as he survives, suppresses his mutations, and researches a new site—the very island featured in Sons of the Forest. With Ashmore’s casting, this marks the first time voice acting has been added to the franchise.
