Those who love mobile gaming and are looking for an Android tablet, the Samsung Galaxy Tab series arguably offers the most premium options on the market. While there are some competitors and alternatives, Samsung has really been the only consistent manufacturer of Android tablets over the years. Today, Samsung announced the new Galaxy Tab S9 series that is available in three models: Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, and Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. The lineup mirrors last year’s offering with the Tab S8 Series, except this generation, every model has a Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a dynamic refresh rate from 60 to 120Hz. Samsung continues with the 16:10 aspect ratio for media consumption.

The new Tab S9 series is also powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and it’s the first Galaxy Tab S series to earn an IP68 rating. Each model includes an IP68-rated S Pen. The company says audio has been enhanced in the S9 series with 20% larger quad speakers, featuring sound by AKG speaker system and Dolby Atmos immersive sound. Users can choose from customized sound settings for gaming, listening to music, taking video calls, and more. For gamers, the Galaxy Tab S9 is the most heat-efficient Galaxy Tab ever, thanks to an internal vapor chamber and two-way heat dissipation.

Starting today, the Galaxy Tab S9 series is available for preorder in select markets, with general availability launching on August 11. The tablets come in two colors: Beige and Graphite and buyers receive four generations of One UI and Android OS upgrades and five years of security updates.
