Risk of Rain celebrated its 10th year anniversary with a special streaming event, during which the developers announced the second expansion for Risk of Rain 2, titled Seekers of the Storm. Gearbox Software describes the expansion as being “loaded” with extensive content, including new survivors, maps, monsters, and more. Seekers of the Storm will introduce Risk of Rain 2’s first stage to feature both day and night versions, which will impact gameplay and affect access to certain areas within the stage.
In addition to announcing Seekers of the Storm, the developers released the first Dev Diary, featuring insights from Loremaster Kayla Larson, Associate Art Lead Claire Bian, and Managing Director of Production James Lopez. No release date for Risk of Rain 2: Seekers of the Storm was announced, with just a “coming soon” on the Steam page.
