The Reaper of Souls release date has been set for March 25, 2014, Blizzard announced today. That will be one week after the auction house shuts down for good on March 18. Blizzard is also offering the opportunity to prepurchase the game digitally on Battle.net with the digital standard edition priced at $39.99. Those that love digital collectibles can opt for the digital deluxe edition for $59.99, and with it comes a collection of exclusive transmogrification recipes, a loyal Spectral Hound minion, three additional character slots, Treasure Goblin companion pet for World of Warcraft, and an assortment of Crusader-themed Battle.net portraits and Malthael-themed decals for StarCraft II.
According to Blizzard, the in-game items from the deluxe digital edition will arrive on or before March 25, when Reaper of Souls goes live. Those that want a physical Collector’s Edition will also get a Malthael mouse pad, a hardback Collector’s Edition art book and a behind-the-scenes Blu-Ray/DVD two-disc set featuring interviews with the development team. The physical Collector’s Edition will be priced at $79.99 and will be available at select retailers.
