Ubisoft had a rough 2024, as the release of Star Wars Outlaws underperformed, ultimately causing the delay of Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Given the attention its single-player games have received, it’s easy to forget that Ubisoft has some successful titles, like Rainbow Six Siege, which still manages anywhere from 70,000 to 90,000 concurrent peak players. Today, Ubisoft announced a new era is coming for Rainbow Six Siege, called Rainbow Six Siege X. To be clear, this isn’t a sequel, but the biggest transformation Rainbow Six Siege has ever undergone in its history.

While the teaser trailer doesn’t reveal much, a Rainbow Six Siege X Showcase will take place on March 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM Pacific (1:00 PM Eastern) in Atlanta, Georgia. The showcase will share how Ubisoft is working to reinforce the game’s position among the top tactical first-person shooters. The company will share how Rainbow Six Siege X will introduce new ways to play, with deeper tactical gameplay, refined game feel, and general upgrades throughout. Ubisoft is even inviting the general public in the Atlanta, Georgia area since it will be an in-person event. You can learn more here, but make sure you’re a resident of the U.S. or Canada. Also, Ubisoft is giving away VIP packages to two lucky fans that include a hotel stay, roundtrip flight, and entry to the event—you can sign up here for a chance to win. Again, it’s only open to residents of the U.S. or Canada.
