In April, PlayStation Store’s top downloads comprised titles from Xbox Game Studios, and that trend continued into May. Last month, Forza Horizon 5 dominated the PlayStation 5 charts in the U.S., Canada, and the EU. Elden Ring Nightreign, which has already sold over 3.5 million copies, came in second in the U.S. and Canada, while Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 rose to the second spot in the EU. The RPG from Sandfall Interactive came in third in the U.S. and Canada, while EA Sports FC25 held that spot in the EU.
On PlayStation 4, gamers celebrated May the Fourth by hopping on Star Wars Battlefront II in the U.S., Canada, and the EU. Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to impress, coming in second in those regions, while Minecraft lands third in the U.S. and Canada and EA Sports FC25 holds third in the EU.
The PlayStation VR2 continues along with Ghosts of Tabor topping the U.S. and Canada charts, while Alien: Rogue Incursion VR was the top download in the EU. For Free-to-Play titles on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, a familiar name is at the top of the charts for all regions: Fortnite. Splitgate 2 is making some noise though in the U.S. and Canada, coming in third, behind FragPunk.
