It remains to be seen whether Assassin’s Creed Shadows is enough of a success for Ubisoft, but despite launching towards the end of the month, it did well on the PlayStation Store. In the U.S. and Canada, it was the second most downloaded game for March 2025, behind MLB The Show 25, but it topped the charts in the EU, followed by the fantastic co-op game, Split Fiction—read our review here. Split Fiction was third in the U.S. and Canada, followed by February’s top charting game, Monster Hunter Wilds. In the EU, third place went to EA Sports FC 25, followed by Monster Hunter Wilds.
As for PlayStation 4 games, Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to sit at the top, followed by A Way Out, which is from the same developers as Split Fiction, Hazelight Studios. Undoubtedly, the success of Split Fiction has gotten some players to check out Hazelight’s other creations. Those two games topped the charts for U.S., Canada, and the EU regions.
For the PlayStation VR2, Beat Saber and Among Us VR won the month of March in U.S. and Canada, while Flight Simulator Delivery 2025 VR and Beat Saber did it for Europeans. The Free-to-Play category continues to be ruled by Fortnite in the U.S., Canada, and the EU, while Marvel Rivals comes in second in the U.S. and Canada. Roblox takes the second place spot in the EU.
