Sony has announced September’s PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup, with all titles available starting from September 17. Headlining this month’s additions is The Plucky Squire for PlayStation 5, which was announced last month as a day-one release on PlayStation Plus. The game follows the magical adventures of Jot and his friends, as they jump between 2D and 3D worlds to take on the evil Humgrump’s dark forces.

If The Plucky Squire is a little too whimsical for you, you might want to check out Under the Waves on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This narrative-driven adventure game focuses on the power of grief and is set in the depths of the North Sea in a techno-futuristic version of the 1970s. The game is billed as a love letter to the oceans, filled with a blend of cinematic visuals and poignant storytelling.

Next up is Night in the Woods on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It stars college dropout Mae Borowski, who returns to her hometown, Possum Springs. Looking to resume her aimless former life and reconnect with the friends she left behind, Mae quickly finds that things aren’t the same. This adventure game focuses on exploration, story, and character with plenty of surprises.

Need something more intense? Chernobylite joins the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 lineup. This sci-fi survival horror RPG is set in a 3D-scanned wasteland of Chernobyl’s exclusion zone. In it, players take on the role of physicist and ex-employee of the Chernobyl Power Plant, Igor. He’s returning to Pripyat to investigate his fiancée’s disappearance 30 years ago.

Football season is in full swing for both NCAA and NFL, and if College Football 25 or Madden NFL 25 doesn’t suit your tastes, check out the more casual Wild Card Football for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It’s an arcade-style football game focused on 7v7 gameplay, filled with wild power-ups and rule-breaking abilities. If you don’t want to take your football too seriously, this might be your jam.

Next up is Space Engineers on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. As its name suggests, this sandbox game focuses on engineering, construction, exploration, and survival in space and on planets. Players take on the tasks of building space ships, vehicles, space stations, and planetary outposts in order to explore planets, gather resources, and survive. If you’d rather stay local and on the ground, there’s Road 96 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This title delivers a crazy road-trip filled with exciting places and unusual people. If you’re a fan of the 90s, you’ll want to check out Road 96.

For something more casual, there’s Ben 10 for PlayStation 4. Here, players are Ben Tennyson as he tries to save the world against some of his most infamous enemies, including Zombozo, Queen Bee, and the Weatherheads. If Ben 10 isn’t your cup of tea, there’s Far Cry 5, which is probably as different as it gets. This entry in the franchise takes players to Hope County, Montana where a fanatical doomsday cult has established itself. Far Cry 5 is a PlayStation Plus re-release.

PlayStation Premium subscribers will also get access to Pistol Whip for PlayStation VR2, along with Secret Agent Clank, Sky Gunner, and Mister Mosquito, all for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
