On October 17, a variety of great games will be joining the PlayStation Game Catalog for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers. DC Comics fans can enjoy Gotham Knights on PlayStation 5. In this open-world, action RPG, players can take on the roles of Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, and Robin to protect Gotham. For those who prefer narrative-driven RPGs, Disco Elysium – The Final Cut is available on both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. This groundbreaking game happens to be a personal favorite of mine.

Given that it’s October, the lineup will also feature some horror and zombie games. These include The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes for PlayStation 4 and 5, Alien: Isolation for PlayStation 4, Dead Island Definitive Edition for PlayStation 4, and Outlast 2 for PlayStation 4. Among these, Dead Island is the least focused on horror but offers a highly entertaining co-op experience.

For PlayStation owners disappointed about missing out on Starfield, Elite Dangerous on PlayStation 4 somewhat offers an alternative. Being a massively multiplayer space epic, Elite Dangerous is quite different from Starfield, but might scratch that space exploration itch. The rest of the lineup for October 2023 includes FAR: Changing Tides (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5), Gungrave G.O.R.E., Eldest Souls (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5), and Röki (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5).

Here are the Classics that will be available to PlayStation Premium subscribers: Tekken 6 (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5), Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5), Ape Escape Academy (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5), and IQ Final (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5).

Full lineup:

  • Gotham Knights (PS5)
  • The Dark Pictures Anthology: House of Ashes (PS4, PS5)
