The April 2025 lineup for the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog prioritizes quality over quantity, featuring a total of six titles for the month. Two of the games, Blue Prince and EA Sports PGA Tour, will be playable on April 10, while the remaining titles will be accessible starting April 15. As usual, we’ll start with the games available to all PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.

Many will consider Hogwarts Legacy (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5) the biggest title in this month’s lineup; that is if you aren’t already one of the over 34 million people who own it. The open-world action RPG allows players to create their own character before getting immersed into the wonderful world of Harry Potter, except it’s Hogwarts in the 1800s. Discover what it’s like to live at Hogwarts, attending classes, making allies, and battling Dark Wizards.

While Hogwarts Legacy might be the most well-known title in the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog for April 2025, Blue Prince (PlayStation 5) might actually be the most exciting. Over the last few days, media outlets have been giving the game glowing reviews and it currently has a 92 Metascore with 27 critic reviews. While we haven’t had the chance to play it, the game is described as a mix of mystery, strategy, and puzzles. It features a familiar roguelite pick-three structure, as players will place rooms as they explore Mt. Holly, a mysterious manor with shifting rooms. There’s a lot more to the game than just that of course, and based on reviews, it’s worth checking out. It’s a day one release on PlayStation Plus and is also part of the Game Pass April 2025 Wave 1 lineup.

I’m also looking forward to Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 2, which is a day one release on April 15 on PlayStation 5. As a fan of the original Life is Strange, I found Lost Records: Bloom & Rage – Tape 1 interesting, although it’s hard to determine just how good the story is without the second half. The first episode was included in the Game Catalog in February 2025 and we’ll finally get the conclusion next week with Rage.

Golf fans will be excited to hear that EA Sports PGA Tour is joining the Game Catalog on PlayStation 5. The exclusive home of the Majors, EA Sports PGA Tour aims to deliver the ultimate golfing experience with unrivaled access to the world’s most exclusive golf courses—virtually, of course. Players can create and customize their own golfer, developing their skill set with new Shot Types and gain deeper course knowledge as they play.

Also from Electronic Arts is Battlefield 1 on PlayStation 4. The title features a campaign, but most players will want to engage in the epic multiplayer battles with up to 64 players. The 2016 shooter is widely considered one of the best in the franchise, which is currently working really hard to ensure the next title is a hit with the community.

The final title of the month is PlateUp! on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. It’s a roguelite title that combines chaotic kitchen and restaurant management with strategic planning and development. The game supports up to four players, who can work together to build and run a restaurant from scratch. Just make sure they’re really good friends because things can get a bit stressful and crazy.

PlayStation Plus Premium members will also get access to Alone in the Dark 2 and War of the Monsters, both on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
