Xbox Live Gold members will be able to play Sunset Overdrive for free this Saturday as part of the Xbox One’s first anniversary celebration. Starting Saturday, November 22 at 12:01 ET, Xbox Live Gold members can check out the Awesomepocalypse from Insomniac Games for a full 24 hours. There isn’t just some lightweight demo either, it’ll be the full game and players will be able to earn achievements and save their progress during that 24-hour span.

Those that choose to purchase the game at a later date will be able to resume where they left off during the free trial. Also available is Sunset Overdrive‘s eight-player online Chaos Squad mode, though that can only be unlocked after playing through the single-player campaign some. After this weekend, the Insomniac Games All-Star team will showcase several new weapons that will be heading to Sunset Overdrive in the near future. You can tune into the Xbox Twitch channel on Monday, November 24 at 10:00 AM PT to check it out.
