I never imagined the Persona franchise would become so popular as to sell one million copies in a week, yet here we are. Atlus announced that Persona 3 Reload has become its fastest-selling game, with one million units sold worldwide in just its first week. With scores of 88 on Metacritic and 89 on Opencritic, Persona 3 Reload is clearly benefiting from the success of Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal. If this success leads to a remake of Persona 4 in the same style as Persona 3 Reload, sign me up.

I’m currently in the midst of my playthrough of Persona 3 Reload, and given its length, I don’t expect to post a review for another couple of weeks. But so far, as a fan of the original Persona 3, I am extremely pleased with how Persona 3 Reload has turned out.
