Arguably one of the finest Japanese RPGs ever released, Persona 3 will be hitting the big screen in Japan on November 23, 2013. Originally published in 2006 for the Sony PlayStation 2, Persona 3 wasn’t released in North America until August, 2007. Nearly six years later, the game has a cult following and its successor, Persona 4, is highly regarded as one of the best games currently available on the Sony PlayStation Vita.

Persona 3 Portable was released in North America in July, 2010 for the Sony PSP, which was welcomed considering how difficult it was to find a copy of the original Persona 3 for PlayStation 2. As for the movie, it appears that it’ll stick close to the game’s storyline with the trailer showing off the cast of the original game including Mitsuru, Junpei, Fuka, and Yukari.

Unfortunately there’s no word on a possible localization of the movie in America. Watch the trailer for Persona 3The Movie below.
