Palworld might be caught up in a lawsuit against Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, but it’s not stopping Pocketpair, Inc. from expanding its reach with the game. Palworld recently launched on PlayStation 5, and now a mobile version of the game has been confirmed. It’ll be handled by Krafton, the same company that recently acquired Tango Gameworks and is the publisher behind PUBG and Subnautica, among others. According to a translated press release, Krafton intends to faithfully reinterpret and implement Palworld’s original main fun elements to fit the mobile environment. The development is being handled by the team at PUBG Studios.

Palworld, originally launched in Early Access in January, is a crafting survival collection game that quickly gained millions of users. In July, Sony and Aniplex announced a partnership with Pocketpair for merchandising associated with Palworld. It’s clear Pocketpair is scaling their market reach with the Palworld brand, making strong alliances with Nintendo’s competitors. After all, why wouldn’t Sony and Microsoft want their version of Pokémon?
