Overwatch 2 has unveiled its next new hero, Mauga. Revealed during BlizzCon 2023, Mauga uses two chain guns that he affectionately calls Gunny and Cha-Cha. He’s a Tank Hero with an unstoppable charge move called Overrun. Mauga, set to join the game in Season 8 on December 5, will be Overwatch’s first Samoan hero.

Blizzard also teased some of the other heroes heading to Overwatch 2 next year. These include a new damage hero named Venture, debuting in Season 10, and a new support hero codenamed Space Ranger, arriving in Season 12. Additionally, Overwatch 2 will introduce a new core PvP game mode called Clash. Fans of the original Overwatch will be pleased to see the Hanamura map return as Hanaoka next year. The game will also feature a reworked competitive system, complete with new rewards.
