Pre-orders for the Oculus Rift will go live on January 6 at 8:00 AM PT / 11:00 AM ET, the company has announced. Although pre-orders will be open to people around the world, Oculus Rift creator Palmer Luckey has confirmed that the headsets will ship only to 20 countries. A list of the supported countries have not yet been announced, but it will likely be revealed tomorrow morning.

Pricing and the release date on the Oculus Rift are still unknown, although Luckey did tweet that there’s “no chance of Rift preorders ‘selling out’, we will keep taking preorders for as long as people want EVE: Valkyrie!”

Each Oculus Rift unit will come bundled with Lucky’s Tale by Playful and an Xbox One controller while CCP’s EVE: Valkyrie will be included with each pre-order.

The company also announced today that everyone who pledged for an Oculus Rift DK1 unit during the original Kickstarter run in 2012 will also get a free consumer version this year.

The Oculus Rift will have some competition this year, with HTC Vive’s also scheduled to release sometime in 2016. Sony is also working on its PlayStation VR that will be compatible with the PlayStation 4 console.
