Need for Speed Rivals has had its release date bumped up so that it is now an official PlayStation 4 launch title. Originally set to be released on November 19, 2013, EA has moved up the release date to November 15, 2013 – the same day the PlayStation 4 launches in North America.
Last week, Sony released the official PlayStation 4 launch lineup and games have been trickling in and getting added to the list since the original announcement. Need for Speed Rivals is the latest of those games, and with a week and a half left before the console’s official release, we don’t expect any more games to be bumped up.
Need for Speed Rivals will feature gameplay similar to 2010’s Need for Speed Hot Pursuit featuring exotic cars and high-speed police chases.
