Creators of the Uncharted and The Last of Us series have revealed their next franchise at The Game Awards 2024, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. Set thousands of years in the future, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet tells the story of Jordan A. Mun, who is a dangerous bounty hunter who ends up stranded on Sempiria, a planet where communication with the outside universe was cut off hundreds of years ago. Players will embark on an adventure to help Mun become the first person to leave Sempiria’s orbit in over 600 years. The trailer does not reveal too much about the game and is rather standard fare for an announcement trailer. What we can see is that Porsche is still a thing in the future because the German automaker is apparently making spaceships in Naughty Dog’s next game.
The game has been in development for several years now and is being directed by Neil Druckmann. Given his team’s track record, it is likely to be another successful project, even if this trailer seems underwhelming.
