The most anticipated game of the year, Monster Hunter Wilds, is launching on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on February 28, 2025. For PC gamers, Capcom has released a free Monster Hunter Wilds benchmark tool that can measure and score the performance of their PC to see how the game will run. The benchmark tool returns a score with an average fps, along with an overall rating. It requires 29GB of storage space, and users are able to adjust game, graphics, audio, and language settings from the Options menu. There are also frame generation settings that will likely lower the benchmark score but will result in higher fps. Here’s a breakdown of the scores and their details:

  • 5199 and under: Difficulty Playing
  • 5200 – 6999: Setting Changes Required
  • 7000 – 10249: Setting Changes Recommended
  • 10250 – 12999: Playable
  • 13000 – 19999: Good
  • 20000 and up: Excellent

The game has also released updated PC system requirements, which you can see below. There is a bit of cause for concern in terms of optimization, since the requirements are targeting 60 fps with Frame Generation enabled. You can see all the system requirements below.
