After more than a year of silence, Nintendo has finally confirmed a release date for the Mineru’s Construct amiibo. Announced this afternoon via the Nintendo Today app, the figure will arrive on September 17, 2026, a few months after the third anniversary of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom‘s original Switch launch. Pricing wasn’t included in the announcement (edit: it’s $34.99), and preorder details haven’t surfaced yet either (edit: available on Nintendo Store).
The Mineru’s Construct amiibo was originally teased in the same April 2025 Nintendo Direct that announced Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, alongside the four TOTK Sage amiibo (Tulin, Yunobo, Riju, and Sidon) that launched with the Switch 2 on June 5, 2025. Mineru was supposed to follow at a later date, and most fans, myself included, assumed that “later date” meant November 6, 2025, the launch of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. That didn’t happen, and the amiibo has been in limbo ever since, with Nintendo offering zero updates until today.
Unlike the smaller statuettes of the other Sages, the Mineru’s Construct amiibo is a larger figure with articulated arms you can pose. Functionally, it works the same way as the other TOTK Sage amiibo. Scanning it in Tears of the Kingdom gives you weapons and materials, and there’s a chance to unlock a special fabric for Link’s paraglider. Per Nintendo’s description, the fabric this one drops partly glows in the dark, which is a nice touch that the other Sage fabrics don’t have.
The timing is a little curious given that Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment came and went without the figure in tow. It’s possible the manufacturing complexity of giving the Construct that floating, spirit-energy look slowed things down, or Nintendo simply wanted to space out its 2026 amiibo lineup. Either way, as someone who considers Tears of the Kingdom one of the best games I’ve ever played, I’m glad to finally see this one cross the finish line. Anyone who has been chasing the full set of TOTK amiibo can finally complete the collection on September 17. We’ll update this post once Nintendo confirms pricing and preorder availability.
