Nintendo has announced that Mario Golf World Tour will be released on May 2, 2014 for the Nintendo 2DS and 3DS handheld consoles. Mario Golf World Tour will include a single-player feature called the Castle Club, where players will be able to customize their Miis with items sold in the in-game store. Those items will change the Miis’ different abilities and players will be able to tweak to suit their playstyle. There will also be a Training Mode in Mario Golf World Tour where players can develop and hone their golfing skills.
The game will feature asynchronous online multiplayer and will have score-based tournaments with leaderboards and large scale competitions.
