Mario & Luigi: Dream Team is launching on the Nintendo 3DS on August 11, 2013 and Nintendo has revealed its television commercial for the game. And since Luigi is turning 30 this year, the focus on the commercial is on him, much like the game. The 3DS title will have players exploring two worlds, the real world of Pi’illo Island and the dream world that opens up when Luigi falls asleep.
As with most first-party Nintendo titles, Mario & Luigi: Dream Team will take advantage of the 3DS’ two screens, with battles that will span both screens at one time. Players will also be able to poke, tickle, and move a sleeping Luigi in the real world in order to alter events in the dream world. The action RPG’s gameplay will be similar for those that have played previous Mario & Luigi titles on the Nintendo DS and Game Boy Advance.
