Just one day after announcing the Street Fighter Year 2 character roster, Capcom has pulled the wraps off M. Bison’s release date and gameplay. The iconic villain is launching on June 26 across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, making a return to the series after being seemingly defeated by Ryu in Street Fighter V. The trailer shows M. Bison waking and stumbling into the Ruined Lab, looking for a way to get back the power he once had.
Those who grew up on the franchise since Street Fighter II will be happy to see that M. Bison’s iconic red outfit is still going to be in Street Fighter 6. His move set is familiar from previous installments, with Psycho Power and aggressive pressure still the focus:
- Shadow Rise: A quick and high-reaching jump that has two follow-ups, including his iconic Head Press and Devil Reverse moves
- Backfist Combo: An all-new move that allows M. Bison to plant Psycho Mines in his opponents
- Knee Press Nightmare: M. Bison’s Level 1 Super Art that takes aim at opponent’s legs with a series of crushing blows and is invincible on start-up
- Psycho Punisher: M. Bison’s Level 2 Super Art that launches opponents into the air with a powerful shockwave from a stomp
- Unlimited Psycho Crusher: M. Bison’s Level 3 Super Art sees the villain rush towards his opponent and smash them into the ground with devastating strength
M. Bison will be unlocked for owners of the Year 2 Character and Ultimate Pass on June 26, and the iconic outfit from Street Fighter II: Champion Edition will be released at the same time as well. Bison joins Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui, and Elena as part of the Year 2 characters.
