CI Games used Summer Game Fest to give Lords of the Fallen II a new trailer called “The Battle for Thorngar,” and the showing came with a concrete launch window attached. The soulslike action-RPG is set to launch simultaneously on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store in fall 2026.

The trailer leaned on new content, headlined by Ysiguen, a sprawling biome partly inspired by Asian mythology, with grand pagoda towers twisted by demonic forces, horned courtesans, and a boss called Lingao the Souring Storm, a towering, lightning-infused dragon. It also revealed a new katana weapon class, which CI Games says answers one of the community’s most-requested additions, joining the previously confirmed scythes. Players got an expanded look at the NPCs who aid them on their crusade, as well as the Lords of Darkness standing in their way.

Beyond the new region, CI Games is framing Lords of the Fallen II as a “bolder, braver, and bloodier” step up from the 2023 reboot, built on community feedback and the more than 70 post-launch updates that game received. The studio says the combat has been reworked to feel faster and more responsive, with brutal executions, expanded abilities, and dismemberments, and it is promising a more varied world, a larger enemy roster with biome-specific factions, more dynamic boss fights, shared-progression co-op at launch, and a more immersive Umbral realm.

To mark the occasion, CI Games noted that Lords of the Fallen (2023) has now sold more than 2.5 million copies, and it is handing all existing owners the “Precious Metals Armour Tincts” DLC that was previously a preorder-only bonus. The 2023 game’s Standard and Deluxe editions are also on sale for up to 75 percent off across storefronts, while Lords of the Fallen II is available to wishlist now on PlayStation 5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store ahead of its fall launch.
