Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII has gotten a new trailer titled “The Savior’s Choice.” The latest video from Square Enix on its upcoming title shows footage of Sazh and Dajh, which means every character from the original Final Fantasy XIII makes a return, minus Serah. There’s also some quick footage of Lightning fighting side-by-side with Fang, an injured Chocobo, and our favorite, Moogles. In addition, there’s a preview of one of Lightning’s super attacks called Army of One and her sporting a Dragoon outfit with lance and all.
For the most part, Final Fantasy XIII and its sequel have been heavily criticized by loyal Final Fantasy fans. While Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XIII-2 weren’t the worst games in the franchise, they certainly didn’t live up to the lofty expectations set for this generation of consoles. Will Lightning Returns change all the fans’ minds?
Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII will be released in North America on February 11, 2014 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
