LG has unveiled its 2026 LG gram lineup, which is set to debut at CES 2026. The latest lineup introduces an ultra-light material called Aerominum, which helped make the world’s lightest 17-inch RTX laptop (17Z90UR). Unsurprisingly, LG is also touting advanced AI capabilities with both on-device and cloud-based technologies on its latest ultra-portable laptops. According to LG, Aerominum is a composition developed by the company that reduces the laptop’s overall weight while reinforcing its structural strength. It meets military-grade standards and has improved scratch resistance, while the exterior features a fancy atelier brushing for a metallic finish.

Complete specs for the lineup haven’t been announced yet, but the LG gram Pro 17 is making the claim of being the world’s lightest 17-inch RTX laptop. The display is a 2560×1600 LCD unit, which is a bit disappointing considering LG is known for its OLED displays. The overall form factor is comparable to a typical 16-inch model, and it will be powered by an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 laptop GPU with 8GB of memory.

The LG gram Pro 16 (16Z90U) is setting a new standard as the lightest 16-inch laptop in its class with both on-device and cloud-based AI. That model has a 2880 x 1800 OLED display, which will likely be the better choice when it comes to productivity and consuming media. We’ll have to see what else LG is packing into the 16-inch model alongside the Intel Core Ultra processors before deciding whether it’ll be capable of gaming.

“The 2026 LG gram represents a new milestone in our decade-long pursuit of ultimate portability. With Aerominum, we have successfully solved the paradox of weight versus durability, creating a premium metallic look that is both incredibly light and exceptionally durable,” said Lee Choong-hwoan, head of the Display Business at the LG Media Entertainment Solution Company. “By fusing this breakthrough material with our advanced dual AI and security solutions, our highly intelligent and extremely portable new laptops empower users to work, create and connect seamlessly wherever they are.”
