The Fortnite platform continues to expand with the announcement of an all-new social roleplay experience called LEGO Fortnite Brick Life. It will exist in the LEGO Fortnite world when it launches on December 12 and will be available on all platforms and regions where Fortnite is supported, except in South Korea. LEGO Fortnite Brick Life is an ever-evolving city where players can build their own stories while interacting with the environment and fellow residents.

Expect a variety of locations and activities, as LEGO Fortnite Brick Life aims to be similar to Second Life or a more family-friendly Grand Theft Auto Online-type experience. The Fortnite team shared locales such as sunset-drenched beaches, restaurants, house parties, rooftop clubs, and a mysterious Mourndale Academy along with 31 other players. Players will also be able to decorate their homes and take on various jobs ranging from Sushi Chef to Fortune Teller and Courier to Academy Professor.

Of course, no social lifestyle game would be complete without players being able to own and customize their dream homes, ranging from suburban houses to apartments and luxurious penthouses. If there’s anything the Fortnite team excels at, it’s providing an assortment of customization options, so you can expect to see a wide variety of furniture choices. The team confirmed that most Decor Bundles and Builds from LEGO Fortnite Odyssey are cross-compatible with LEGO Fortnite Brick Life, but a small selection of particularly large Builds will not be available at launch. They will, however, be supported in the near future.

Players looking to play LEGO Fortnite Brick Life on mobile will be able to unlock the Chord Kahele Outfit in both LEGO and Fortnite styles. To unlock it, players need to earn XP in Fortnite while playing through the Fortnite Mobile App by February 21. Those who connect their LEGO and Epic Games accounts starting December 10 will automatically unlock the Mr. Dappermint Outfit. Players who have already done this will find the Outfit in their Locker when the promotion begins. Those unlocking it for the first time will also receive the Explorer Emilie Outfit.

The original LEGO Fortnite experience launched on December 7, 2023, and has continued to grow since. LEGO Fortnite Brick Life is not the only recent announcement for the Fortnite platform. The team also revealed a 5v5 first-person mode called Ballistic on December 7, 2023.
