Compared to 2023, this year is a relatively quiet year for the Nintendo Switch in terms of new releases. However, there’s a good reason for this, as it’s widely believed that the successor to the Switch will debut sometime this year. This doesn’t mean Nintendo has completely abandoned its popular console, as several major first-party titles are set for release in 2024.
The first game we’ll be getting, barring any surprises, is Mario vs. Donkey Kong on February 16, 2024. It’s a puzzle-filled platforming adventure showcasing one of video gaming’s oldest rivalries. This time, Donkey Kong has stolen the Mini-Marios, and Mario must run, jump, and backflip his way to rescue all the stolen toys. Originally released on the Game Boy Advance, the Switch version of Mario vs. Donkey Kong will feature new co-op play and updated visuals.
