One day, Kingdom Hearts III will become a reality. But to keep fans interested in the storied franchise, Square Enix will make Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix a reality next year. Does this mean that we might see Kingdom Hearts III by 2015? We could only be so optimistic.

For now, the Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix got a debut trailer at the Disney Japan’s D23 Expo and will consist of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep and HD cinematics for Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix is a follow up to the recently released Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix.

In addition, Square Enix confirmed that Sora, Riku and Roxas will all be making an appearance in Kingdom Hearts III.
