It didn’t take long for Alienware to offer a pre-built gaming PC featuring an RTX 5080 following the official launch of NVIDIA’s latest GPUs. Now, HP is one of the first manufacturers to allow users to configure its OMEN 45L gaming desktop with an RTX 5090. There’s a catch, though; you’ll also need to upgrade several other components before you can add it to the cart. The total damage is $4,729.99, which isn’t too bad considering the price of the RTX 5090 alone.
The configuration requires an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor, 64GB of DDR-5600 Kingston Fury RAM, a 2TB Gen4 NVMe M.2 SSD, and a 1200 watt 80 Plus Gold certified power supply. Even with the mandatory upgrades, this is actually more affordable than Alienware’s Area-51 setup, which comes with an RTX 5080, faster RAM, and a 4TB NVMe Gen4 SSD for $5,049.99.
For those who want an RTX 5090 but haven’t had much luck obtaining one, this might be one of your best options. At the time of publishing, HP states that the pre-builts will ship starting on March 11, 2025.
