Horizon Forbidden West’s major story DLC, Burning Shores, will arrive exclusively on the PlayStation 5 April 19. Today, Guerilla Games released the DLC’s launch trailer, giving us a bigger preview of Aloy’s next journey as she heads further west to the untamed wilds of Los Angeles. Burning Shores was announced at the 2022 Game Awards and takes place immediately after the events of Forbidden West. The ruins of Los Angeles have become a seismically unstable, volcanic archipelago, and Aloy will be joined by a new companion.

The Burning Shores DLC will cost $19.99, and again, it is only available on the PlayStation 5 even though Horizon Forbidden West was released on the PlayStation 4. In order to start the expansion, players must complete the entire main campaign of Horizon Forbidden West.

Pre-order bonuses for Burning Shores were announced last month and include a Blacktide Dye Outfit and Blacktide Sharpshot Bow.
