The Heroes of the Storm Tech Alpha is now live with select friends, family and VIP being part of the early program. Blizzard’s take on the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) genre was shown off late last year at BlizzCon 2013, where we were able to get hands-on impressions from Heroes of the Storm. To celebrate the Tech Alpha’s launch, Blizzard has released a walkthrough video so those participating in the testing phase know what to expect. Of course, those not fortunate enough to be playing Heroes of the Storm currently will also want to watch the walkthrough video, as it previews quite a bit of what we can expect once the game is available to the general public.

Heroes of the Storm is Blizzard’s “fresh take on the team brawler,” and will be quite different than what you’re used to if you’re a League of Legends or DOTA 2 player. Each Heroes of the Storm match aims to end within 20 minutes and features fast-paced action with your entire team sharing experience as the match goes on. There aren’t items to purchase either and each map features unique events that can help push your team to victory.
