We are less than a month away from the release of Final Fantasy XVI, and just this week more interviews and previews from the media tour have been published all around the internet. During today’s PlayStation Showcase, Square Enix shared the action RPG’s launch trailer, titled “Salvation.” The trailer sets the stage for what players can expect when they venture into Valisthea for the first time on June 22.
The team behind Final Fantasy XVI is Square Enix’s Creative Business Unit III, which is also in charge of Final Fantasy XIV. Final Fantasy XVI’s producer, Naoki Yoshida, is well-known within the Final Fantasy XIV community. Yoshida is the mastermind behind the incredible turnaround after the MMORPG’s disastrous launch. Now, it is one of the biggest and most popular MMORPGs, and its latest expansion, Endwalker, tells one of the best Final Fantasy stories in recent history. Needless to say, fans of Final Fantasy XIV have high expectations for Final Fantasy XVI. Based on how much the team has been sharing about the game, it seems Yoshida and his team are pretty confident that Final Fantasy XVI will deliver.
As a reminder, there will be a Final Fantasy XVI Pre-Launch Celebration Livestream on June 11, and this is probably when the demo for the game will be released.
