Following an Indie World Showcase this morning, a Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase presented 18 games as well as montages that covered another 11 games. Highlights from the Nintendo Direct: Partner Showcase include Yakuza Kiwami heading to the Nintendo Switch on October 24, Castlevania Dominus Collection, new Atelier and Rune Factory games, and a remaster of Tales of Graces f. Here’s a summary of all the games that were part of today’s Partner Showcase presentation.
MySims: Cozy Bundle
Heading to the Nintendo Switch as an exclusive is MySims Cozy Bundle, consisting of MySims and MySims Kingdom. A more casual take on the life sim genre, MySims and MySims Kingdom let players befriend cute characters, discover adventures, and customize their towns. The package launches November 19.
Sid Meier’s Civilization VII
No real surprise here, but Sid Meier’s Civilization VII is confirmed for the Nintendo Switch when it launches on February 11, 2025. The latest trailer for the next entry in this beloved series reveals the addition of third-century Japanese leader Himiko.
Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer
Fitness Boxing 3: Your Personal Trainer is heading to Nintendo Switch on December 5. Modes include Quick Workout, Mitt Drills, seated training options, and more.
Goat Simulator 3
It’s hard to believe Goat Simulator has become a franchise, but the latest entry is available on the Nintendo Switch today, with a physical version launching in November. Take control of more goats than ever before in this playful sandbox filled with quests and challenges. There’s even online multiplayer and local split-screen options for co-op goat fun.
SpongeBob Squarepants: The Patrick Star Game
Patrick Star is finally the star of his own game. SpongeBob Squarepants: The Patrick Star Game arrives on October 4 and features an open world playground of Bikini Bottom. Help Patrick hunt for buried treasure and complete quests and challenges from familiar faces like Sandy Cheeks, Mr. Krabs, and SpongeBob.
Capcom Fighting Collection 2
Relive eight classic Capcom fighting games with Capcom Fighting Collection 2 when it launches in 2025. The compilation includes Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001, Power Stone, Power Stone 2, Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein, and more.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics
One of the more exciting announcements for fighting game fans, Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics launches on Switch digitally on September 12, with a physical version coming November 22. It features seven fan-favorite games: X-Men Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2 New Age of Heroes, and the arcade classic The Punisher.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake
We got another look at the upcoming Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, showcasing new ways to customize character appearances and exclusive new content that wasn’t in the original game. The trailer also introduced a new Monster Wrangler vocation. Look for it when it launches on the Nintendo Switch on November 14.
Castlevania Dominus Collection
Castlevania fans will want to check out this collection featuring three fan-favorite titles originally released on Nintendo DS. The Castlevania Dominus Collection includes Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, and two versions of Haunted Castle, the arcade game that started it all. The collection is available starting today on the Nintendo eShop.
Tetris Forever
As a lifelong Tetris fan, this announcement was one of the more exciting ones for me. Tetris Forever celebrates the 40th anniversary of Tetris and includes numerous ways to experience the game, including the 1988 original Famicom version. TThe collection also includes Tetris 2 + Bombliss, Tetris Battle Gaiden, and a new experience called Tetris Time Warp that jumps between gameplay styles from across the entire series. Tetris Forever launches sometime this year, but the celebration continues with the NES version of Tetris joining Nintendo Switch Online this winter along with a Tetris 99 Maximus Cup event.
Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2, Security Breach – Ruin
We got two Five Nights at Freddy’s announcements today, the first being Help Wanted 2. It’s a flatscreen continuation of the survival series’ previous VR entry and puts players in the shoes of a new Fazbear employee. Packed with minigames and classic jumpscares, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2 launches this holiday season. The other announcement is a free story DLC for Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach. Called Ruin, it also launches this holiday season and has you playing as Cassie, a Faz-fanatic who must explore the dark depths of the dilapidated Pizzaplex to save her best friend Gregory.
Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma
We’re getting a reimagined Rune Factory experience in spring 2025 with Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma. In this entry, players take on the role of an Earth Dancer, working to restore the land and gods of the eastern region of Azuma. Of course, Rune Factory staples like romance and farming make a return.
Yakuza Kiwami
One of the biggest announcements in the Partner Showcase is Yakuza Kiwami, letting players experience the adventure that started it all for the iconic Yakuza series. Introduce yourself to Kiryu and explore Kamurocho when Yakuza Kiwami launches on October 24 for the Nintendo Switch.
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land
The next Atelier game has been announced, starring a new protagonist. Titled Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, it drops players into a vast open world where they help Yumia confront her past in a fantasy adventure. The title is set to release on Nintendo Switch early next year.
Tales of Graces f Remastered
A remake of the Wii’s Tales of Graces is heading to the Switch on January 17, 2025 in the form of Tales of Graces f Remastered. The RPG classic returns with improved graphics and auto-save features as players relive the adventure of Asbel Lhant on the planet Ephinea.
Star Overdrive
Launching as a timed exclusive on the Nintendo Switch in 2025 is Star Overdrive, a 3D open world third-person action-adventure game. Players control a hypersonic Hoverboard on a distant alien planet, setting out to explore biomes, solve puzzles, and fight enemies using the powers of the Keytar.
Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars
We finally have an updated release date for Suikoden I&II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars: March 6, 2025. Suikoden I is one of the most memorable RPGs I played during the original PlayStation era, and I’m very much looking forward to experiencing this remaster combo. Along with modern graphics, the remaster also adds one-button automation and sped-up battles.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st
It almost felt like this announcement got overlooked since it was part of a montage. The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky is getting a remake titled The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st. It’s set to launch on the Nintendo Switch in 2025 and Falcom has confirmed it is releasing a special website for “The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Remake Project.”
Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition
Relive the 1999 classic with the remastered Worms Armageddon: Anniversary Edition, launching on September 26.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy
